Rumba a Lo Desconocido
Brothers José and David Muñoz are Spain’s next-door-neighbors-turned-rock-stars. Since the ‘90s, they’ve been charming their way onto the Spanish charts with Estopa’s flamenco-inflected power pop ballads. The brothers’ likeable take on the funky upbeat style known as rumba rock harks back to a sound from the ‘70s (the decade they were born in) that has a distinctly Spanish accent, yet transcends. Two decades into the game, Estopa’s Rumba a lo Desconocido sounds fresh, irresistable even, and you’ll be singing “Pastillas para Dormir” and “Se Me Olvida la Vida” in no time.
