If Art Official Age starred Prince the pop-soul sage, then this second of two albums released in the same week features Prince the funk-rock preacher. Backed by 3RDEYEGIRL, he inveighs against first world malaise on "Marz" and "Fixurlifeup," leading jam sessions that barely congeal into songs. He's done this before -- see 1996's Chaos and Disorder -- and the musical freedom that results can be liberating, especially on the title track. Still, he's got some really goofy lyrics. Check "Tictactoe"'s chorus: "Like a bunch of blind people playing Tic Tac Toe/ Who knows where the Os and the Xs go?"
